hi there im a young single mom and im wanting to start taking classes again this fall but i cant afford childcare! i qualify for help from ccap to pay for childcare while im at work but they cant help when you are in school. does anyone know of any programs in the area? ( loveland/ fort collins) or in colorado?  or could you share your story of how you balance being a single mom ( not getting child support) and going to school while also working ?  thank you so much!

I would also check out the Women Give organization.  I know that they have given some financial support to some of our families at Kidz Fit Child Care.

I suggest advertising to do childcare swap with possibly another single mom who is also going to school and/or a mom who works part-time.  In these economic times, childcare swapping sure could save a lot of money for each of you.  I wish you all the best!

i have thought about that and its a good idea for people who have the time  but i dont work part time i work two jobs and go to school i barley have time to do my homework or laundry and every spare second i spend with my daughter i envolver her in my sutdy time , my cleaning time she even sleeps with me at night so we have that extra bonding time.  there is just not enough time in the day to get donw eveything i need to get donw so i deffinitaly wouldnt have the time to watch somone eles' children ya know

United Way of Weld County has some programs that help with the difference.
